MILWAUKEE - As part of its package of services, Design Air offers its contractor clients access to its Web site: www.designair.com. At the site, contractors can look up prices for equipment and materials, access their account to check on invoices, balances, and payments as well as place orders.

According to Design Air, one of the most popular features of the Web site is the Training Program area. The active training schedule is the area with the most hits per month and contractors can readily access online training programs.

A technician favorite is the training program created to prepare technicians for the EPA 608 Certification Exam for Refrigerant Handlers. This program is divided into the four sections of the exam: Core, Type I, Type II, and Type III certification. Students can study for the whole exam or each individual section. Sample multiple-choice questions are included at the conclusion of each section with immediate feedback on whether a student has answered correctly.

The program was created using Microsoft PowerPoint software which is widely available and included in Microsoft's popular Office package. PowerPoint is required to run the training program, but for those who don't own a copy, Microsoft makes available a "viewer" that allows people to look at PowerPoint files. DesignAir.com provides a link to the Microsoft Web site that enables the free download of this viewer.
