MILWAUKEE and LOUISVILLE, Colo. - Johnson Controls Inc. has formed a strategic alliance with StrionAir Inc. to offer StrionAir's patented air-purification system to Johnson Controls customers.

StrionAir's technology combines ionization, electrostatics, and mechanical filtration to provide a high-performance, low-resistance-to-airflow, germicidally active air purification solution for commercial HVAC systems, says the company. Its germicidal effectiveness has been documented in laboratory studies against numerous airborne pathogens, the company says.
