Conbraco Industries Inc. of Matthews, N.C., manufacturer of Apollo Valves, was named Affiliated Distributors’ (A-D) Supplier of the Year during A-D’s annual North American Meeting held recently in Dallas.
According to A-D officials, “The Supplier of the Year Award is the most coveted award that A-D presents each year.” Conbraco earned the award based on its long-term partnership with A-D, and its commitment to quality products and high service levels that “consistently surpass expectations.”
“We are very happy to be recognized for our efforts in this way,” said Cal Mosack, executive vice president of sales for Conbraco. “I am proud of everything our 1,200 employees have done to make our product and service quality levels possible. Our company’s philosophy is to constantly work to be the best valve manufacturer in America. Our employees’ commitment to that philosophy is what led to this prestigious award.

A-D’s 111 distributors (both single store and multi-branch operations) are responsible for more than $35 million in sales of Apollo Valves. They service all 50 states, several provinces of Canada, and Puerto Rico.
Conbraco’s Apollo Valves product line includes backflow preventers, pressure regulating valves, tempering valves, safety and relief valves, butterfly valves, and valve automation products in addition to bronze, steel, and alloy ball valves. More than 95 percent of the company’s products are manufactured in the United States in the company’s own ISO 9001-2000 registered plants, the company said.
