Streamlight Inc.: LED Flashlights

May 12, 2008

New versions of eight products feature power LED technology, resulting in flashlights with a more powerful, intense beam and double the brightness of earlier models, says the company. The enhanced models include the Argo® LED and Argo HP headlamps; the Task-Light® 3AA; the Streamlight Jr.® and the Streamlight Jr. Reach; the TL-2® LED; the Nightfighter® (formerly the NF-2® LED); and the Scorpion® LED. The enhanced LEDs are made possible by a new development in diode chip manufacturing called Controlled Collapse Chip Connection or “C4,” says the company. The new Super-Tac™ features the new LED technology, resulting in a light source that is three times brighter than standard LEDs, claims the company.
